Doing business with MGT Computer SolutionsThis is not a legal document, but it's written like one and uses the popular "plain English" that we use in our actual legal agreements. "We", "us", "our", and "ours" all refer to MGT Computer Solutions, our properties, effects, and associates, and our associates' properties and effects. "You", "your" and "yours" all refer to yourself, your personnel, or your business.
ABOUT OUR ESTIMATESOur estimates reflect time and materials. We base them on experience, available information, and the expectation that ordinary effort will be required for the project. We cannot provide free estimates unless the project is very simple. A good estimate for most programming projects relies on detailed study and planning, and troubleshooting projects usually cannot be estimated without diagnostic services. We will tell you whether our estimate will require billable effort before we begin expending any. Our estimates also serve as our contracts. When you accept the estimate, you are also agreeing:
We consider our estimates to be valid and binding for 30 days after the date of the estimate. Requests you make after you accept the estimate cannot always be included as part of the project, but sometimes they can; please ask. We'll tell you how any new request will affect your estimate.
WHILE THE PROJECT IS GOING ONAfter you accept our estimate, we will start work at a date and time on which you and we agree. We normally conduct meetings with you at your office or other location where you have your computer(s). Our staff can do your work at either your location or ours. If you choose on-site work, you must provide our staff a work place adequate for the work to be done. MGT Computer Solutions assumes that all software and equipment that you provide are under current and sufficient license for your use. You agree that in no event shall MGT Computer Solutions or its suppliers, subcontractors, or associates be liable for any license violations arising over equipment or software that you provide. We count hours in each project as we expend them. We can provide this information upon request during the life of a project.

Although we make every effort to keep this page up-to-date, rates are subject to change without notice.
Telephone supportTelephone support is a support service and as such is billable at our normal hourly rate. Phone support is provided as our staff is available, and only between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Minimum fees for site visitsOur minimum fee per site visit is based on round trip travel time from our office in Kent, Ohio to your Northeast Ohio (Cuyahoga, Geauga, Portage, Summit, eastern Medina, or northern Stark County) site. For visits to other areas, we may also bill for travel time and expenses incurred. We may require advance payment for travel expenses that include transportation, fuel or lodging. Please contact us with any questions regarding your particular location.
WHAT WE CONSIDER BILLABLEYou don't like paying for what you can't use. Well, we don't like billing for it, either. So we've looked at all the things we do and identified what we don't think would be fair for you to pay. We bill for:PLANNING, RESEARCHING PURCHASES, INSTALLING, PROGRAMMING, PROBLEM DIAGNOSIS, TROUBLESHOOTING, TRAINING, DOCUMENTING, RECORDKEEPING, or PREPARING to do one of these (which usually includes TRAVEL). We won't bill for:Time spent in "WISH" MEETINGS. Before we can do any planning, we have to know what you want. It shouldn't cost you anything merely to express your desires. It can cost you (and us) a lot more if you don't. ("Wishing" becomes "planning" or another billable activity when the session turns to defining specifications or schedules.) Time spent CORRECTING OUR OWN MISTAKES or LEARNING CERTAIN COMMON APPLICATIONS. We admit that we are human. We err, and we don't know all about every off-the-shelf package. But we won't do our training on your time if it's something we believe we should know.
How Our Estimates Protect EveryoneWe bill solely upon the basis of on actual time, expense and material costs, even if the estimate was for more. We don’t bill for overruns if they are caused by our error. Overruns are billable if they are caused by changes or problems in your specifications, by problems in material or resources you provide or select, or by time we spend waiting for resources, documents, or paperwork you provide while we are on your premises.
ABOUT OUR INVOICESInvoices for site visits are issued for each visit unless other arrangements are made in advance. Invoices for work done in our offices are issued on the 1st and the 16th of each month (the 1st and the 15th in February) unless other arrangements are made in advance. Our invoices always include a current statement of account. You may also request a statement of account at any time.
ABOUT OUR TERMSYou agree to pay our invoice(s) when you accept the work or software product supplied by MGT Computer Solutions unless other arrangements are made in advance. Acceptance may either be explicit or implied by usage of the supplied work or its results. Unless other arrangements are made in advance and put in writing, invoices are issued on a 10 Day Net 25 Per Cent basis, as described above under Rates. Travel projects:TRAVEL projects (outside Cuyahoga, Geauga, Portage, Summit, eastern Medina, and northern Stark Counties in Northeast Ohio) are payable in full when we accept the work, and prior to our initial travel to commence work. We require full reimbursement of expenses on a regular schedule of no less than once per month. Late Fees:If you wait more than 30 days to pay the amount due, you may be assessed a semi-monthly late fee of 1 per cent on the overdue amount.
WARRANTIESMGT Computer Solutions cannot guarantee a specific outcome or result, but does guarantee to provide you with competent service delivered in a careful and timely manner. Our work is warranted for thirty days. All warranty on system, server, or network configuration is void if any installations or changes to the configuration (hardware or software) are attempted during the time of the warranty period.
