Windows XP is the first "general" release of Windows that comes from the NT codebase. As such, it brings to the general user the stability of NT systems, which is generally an improvement; but it brings with it the overhead and complexity of NT systems. The previous "general" releases of Windows were Windows ME, Windows 98 and Windows 95; they were easier to use than the NT products of the day, but less stable. Experienced DOS and Windows 9x users experience some disorientation when first using Windows XP, but enough is familiar and the user gets by. Users of Windows NT and Windows 2000 generally have little trouble adapting to XP. MGT Computer Solutions is knowledgeable in both Windows XP Home and Windows XP Professional. |
